| About: Jurassic Park is a science fiction novel written by Michael Crichton in 1990. The novel revolves around dinosaurs that were created with DNA found in a mosquito. The genetic code gaps in the damaged DNA were filled with DNA's from amphibian, avian and others modern animals. The novel further narrates the series of destructive events that happens due to uncontrolled dinosaurs. The book sure holds a lot of thrill in it. The novel got more popularity when Steven Spielberg took up the story and made a movie adaptation of it in 1993. The graphics used in the movie further enhanced the story and gave an imaginary perception a visual form. The movie won 15 nominations,19 other awards and 3 Oscars. The movie made above $900 million worldwide. Critics somehow objected on the biological aspects, but over all this book was appreciated worldwide and is known as the Michael Crichton's signature work. The novel has a sequel as well named The Lost World, which was published in 1995 and also adapted for a movie by Steven Spielberg in 1997. |
